Hundreds of Indian nurse’s degree certificates in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have been susceptible to losing their jobs because of a brand new instructional requirement, a media report stated. More than two hundred nurses have already lost their jobs, even as several others have been demoted after the UAE made a bachelor’s degree in nursing because of the minimum educational qualification for registered nurses, the Gulf News said in the file on Monday. According to some of the affected nurses with degree certificates, who continue to be retained, they were required to do a Post Basic BSc Nursing Programme from universities inside the UAE, which was authorized with the aid of the Ministry of Education (MoE) by 2020.
However, numerous nurses who have enrolled in programs in extraordinary universities are now experiencing another disaster—their requests for equivalency certificates for their degree certificates have been rejected. The MoE is issuing equivalency certificates for diploma certificates from the kingdom of Kerala, the nursing council, which is the simplest Indian nursing body acknowledged by the ministry, the affected nurses said.

“The majority of people hail from Kerala itself. However, we studied outside of Kerala for our nursing diploma publications. A few nurses from different Indian states are also going through the same difficulty,” stated one of the affected nurses. “Many of us have already misplaced our jobs, and now we’re not able to preserve our research and follow some other process, leaving us in a ‘do or die situation,” said any other. The nurses stated they could technique India’s Minister of State for External Affairs, V. Muraleedharan, who is scheduled to go to the UAE this week, searching for his pressing intervention to resolve the difficulty.
