For their exceptional overall performance in the education sector, no fewer than three personal college instructors in Lagos and a school, Mrs. Elusaki Agnes Iyabo, Ikuseyidunmi Pius Babbo, and Adeniyi Oluwasegun, and Government Junior College, Epe have received this 12 months’ edition of the 2019 President’s Teachers and Schools Excellence Award (PTA). The award, which occurred on Eagle Square, Abuja, was instituted through the Federal Government to praise awesome instructors and colleges for their exemplary performance in the training region.
According to the kingdom Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo, who disclosed this while addressing instructors throughout the 2019 World Teachers’ Day birthday celebration at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) Sports’ Complex, the feat was achieved because of the precedence attention the national authorities are paying to the improvement of the arena via the provision of facilities.
“We have professionals and qualified teachers to gain extra heights in delivering satisfactory education to our future leaders,” she referred to, commending the lecturers and faculty for their determination and dedication to teaching jobs, in addition to the increase of the world.
The Commissioner introduced: “No society can achieve significant development in handing over best schooling without setting top-class value on its teachers. I must confess that only Almighty God can reward your efforts and pray that your labor will no longer be useless. Considering your roles, contributions, and importance, our teachers have to receive and enjoy the rewards for their labor first right here in the world and then in Heaven.”
The Commissioner, however, confident instructors inside the nation that teaching career could be made more appealing beneath the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, which has promised to boom budgetary allocation to training, set up era pushed template to force the arena, rent greater teachers, upscale ordinary education of teachers, as well as create conducive coaching and getting to know surroundings.

It addressed the need to look at the teaching career from an attitude of the previous day, nowadays, and the day after today. This is to reposition the career for the most reliable overall performance in this present age, and international attention is being shifted from a resource-based financial system to a know-how-primarily based economic system,” the Commissioner delivered.
